How to delete the account
In the desktop app, right away. Open “Settings → Subscription”, click “Delete account”, confirm the action and enter your account password. The account is deleted at that moment; there is no need to wait for a reply from support.
By email. If you no longer have access to the app, write to [email protected] from the email address the account is registered to. An email from the account address is itself the proof that the account is yours. The request is completed within 30 days, usually faster; we confirm completion by replying to the same address.
What is deleted
- Account details: name, email address, phone number, password. The address is replaced with an anonymized one and can no longer be used to sign in.
- All sign-in sessions: the desktop app is signed out immediately.
- Paired phones: all devices are unpaired, and the app on them returns to the pairing screen.
- Transferred files from the exchange between the phone and the computer, if they are still stored on the server.
- Subscription: charges stop.
Only anonymized usage accounting remains: how many requests were made, without a name, email or conversation content. It is needed for accounting and reporting and is no longer linked to you in any way.
A subscription bought in the App Store or on Google Play is cancelled by the store itself: open the subscription settings there. The server does not manage such subscriptions.
Chats, documents and files created by the assistant live on your computer and are not stored on the server, so deleting them is up to you. How this works is described in the Privacy Policy.
If you do not need to delete the whole account
To disconnect a specific phone and keep the account, you do not need to delete it: in the phone app open the menu in the top left corner and choose “Unpair phone”, or remove the device on the computer under “Settings → Phone”.
Active subscription
If the subscription was bought in the App Store, deleting the account does not cancel it: cancellation is done in the Apple ID settings. A subscription bought directly is stopped together with the account deletion.
